Corey Barker Aside from being one of the busiest and versatile songwriters in Nashville, Corey is currently involved in scoring the feature length film, BIRTH OF A LEGEND, STORY OF THE WAWA, being filmed in Sheffield Alabama, by Whippoorwill Hollow Films. Corey is also currently head of A and R at Ohana Music Group, a production company evolving into an indie label. Not only is he scoring the movie he also has a role as Carp in the movie. Corey has had several of his songs recorded by various artists in the U.S. and Canada including Cledus T. Judd’s last single “Bake Me a Country Ham.” He also had a song included in the TV show “Smallville”, A national jingle for Goodies Headache Powder “Cool Orange”, Daryle Singletary’s “Swingin’ into Christmas”, and Jimmy Sturr’s “Small Town Memory Lane”. Corey’s talents extend beyond the music world he has been in many Television commercials, videos, and short films and has been an extra in 3 feature films including THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLINT. He also has been a run way model, voice over artist and a stand –up comedian. Several of the artist who have recorded Corey’s songs include, Ian Rodes, Lloyd Knight who will be performing 2 of the featured songs on the movie BOAL.
